We can’t deny the fact that Vertu is known for creating handsets of a luxurious design. Last month, we’ve featured their collaboration with an equally luxurious car company which is Ferarri. And this time, to show off their latest device is the Cell phone Vertu Boucheron 150, which is crafted in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Boucheron jewelry house in Paris.

This may look like it was a crumpled gold, but it is actually in a unique cut and design of a pure gold which is designed to appear like it was crippled. It is said to have taken about 1,000 man hours to shape it, 700 hours to hand-polished it, and about 500 hours to build it in. They made use of the power of human hands only and without any help of machinery. The keypad is made from sapphire crystal, while its wooden case is from Noce Pedullo walnut tree which is in courtesy of Reuge from Switzerland, and resembles that of a treasure chest.

Aside from that really stylish and luxe-looking device, it also features 3G connectivity. And as you open the case, a Vertu signature ringtone will be played.

So for such gold piece of mobile phone, it is expected to retail for more than just $30,000. This unique device will surely add elegance as you hold it in your hands.
