Pantech, under its SKY brand, has launched a new clamshell phone that is more likely to be targeted among female individuals. Its name, Crystal IM-S500K, already tells that it could be another of those fashion phones around that is more focused on design rather than on features.

This clamshell’s external panel looks like a verge of diamonds, called tetrahedral, and under it are luminous LED lights that seem to show various graphics. Opening the clamshell would show that this device is just any other low-to-mid-level cellular phones.

Luxurious brands like Prada, Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana have already done collaborations with mobile phones. French company S.T. DuPont has as well ventured in mobile market as they collaborate with South Korea’s third largest handset manufacturer, Pantech.

Called the Pantech Sky DuPont IM-U510LE, the design of this device is believed to be inspired by one of the French company’s expensive cigarette lighters. It has gold-plated edges, and it sports 3-inch touch-screen display, GPS, 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and 2G connectivity.

Pantech has recently presented its newest sleek handset under the name Pantech Sky IM-S400L. This phone holds a stylish and high-class design, with equally high and advanced specifications.

This phone features a new technology called the Glide Sensor which turns the keypad into a touchpad for easy phone navigation especially when browsing the Web.
