It is rumored that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be offered by O2 in the UK, by Rogers in Canada, by NTT DoCoMo in Japan, and by an unknown carrier in China. Well, it looks like they are not the only carriers to offer it since the smartphone has already appeared over at Vodafone UK’s website under their “coming soon” section.
If this happens, this Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will actually be their first Android smartphone, running on Android 1.6 (or Donut) to be exact. In case you still have no idea yet on what this smartphone has to offer, let me give you a quick overview.
Aside from running on Android, this will also be powered by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor; and it will also include 4-inch WVGA 480 x 854 pixels scratch-resistant capacitive touchscreen display, 8-megapixel autofocus camera, HSPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, and GPS.
We’re not sure when that “coming soon” will be and we’re even not sure of its price, but it is expected to be offered for free on select plans.
