With all the new technologies that we have on mobile phones these days, most high-enders is now carrying megapixels of about 5 to 8, which is just like or even better than other ordinary digital cameras. Just like a music phone, there is also what we call the camera phone, which is intended of course for taking pictures. You wouldn’t expect it to be carrying a pixel sensor that is lower than 5 megapixels, right?
But I actually don’t know what Sony Ericsson was thinking with this phone they call the “Snapshot” or the S302. This is said to be a camera phone, but with its 2 megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom, I’m not sure if it is really meant to be as such. Well, they say it’s because to make it an affordable phone. Aside from that there are no high-end features on this phone, like the face detection and image stabilization; although it has the photo fix and photo light functions.
Well, enough of that anyway. Aside from that, this phone supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, and is also equipped with MP3 Player, FM radio, TrackID Music Recognition, Bluetooth, 20MB internal memory, and a 2-inch TFT LCD display.
The Sony Ericsson S302 is available in Crystal Blue and Thunder Grey colors, and will definitely cater to those who wants an affordable “camera phone.”
