Recently, we’ve featured a Sony Ericsson phone that has been approved by FCC. Now, here comes another phone from Sony Ericsson, which is named as the W995, passing FCC with flying marks. We’ve already seen this at the CTIA, and it will also be called Hikaru, which is also a leaked phone we’ve featured back in February.
So now, everything is official and it is already expected to come to America. Although the W designation tells that it will come as a Walkman Phone, the camera packed here is definitely not to be ignored. This phone will feature an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, and video capture at 30FPS. And of course, Walkman features include, Walkman 4.0 music player with Shake Control and SensMe, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, a kickstand and FM Radio with RDS.
This is said to have support for quad-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA, and will be complete with Wi-Fi with DLNA support, Bluetooth A2DP, and built-in GPS with AGPS functionality. This is also said to have the biggest screen on a Sony Ericsson phone to date at 2.6 inches and with 256k colors TFT display of QVGA resolution and accelerometer sensor. It will be equipped with 118MB of internal memory and is expandable via M2 memory. An 8GB card is actually included on purchase, making this phone sweeter.
Let’s wait and see on which carrier this Sony Ericsson W995 phone will land and how much it would cost on sale.
