Samsung Caliber R860

It was back in October of last year when US Cellular got a hold of the Samsung Caliber; and it’s never too late for other carriers to have this device as well. Take for example MetroPCS as they’ve just released the Samsung Caliber R860, which is actually believed to be their first Samsung touchscreen phone.

There’s actually nothing so notable about its features if compared to monsters like the Droid or iPhone, but at least MetroPCS customers would have an array of choices for mobile phones.

This is just a mid-level device with features that include 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, TouchWiz UI, 3-megapixel camera with flash, GPS with MetroNavigator, full HTML browser, Bluetooth, social networking integration, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 16GB. Data connection won’t be as fast as you would expect it to offer since this only supports EV-DO Rev. 0.

This Samsung Caliber R860 should now be available via MetroPCS, retailing at $249 before a $90 mail-in rebate.
