The Samsung SCH-W760 is designed for those who are fond of video-calling, anytime and anywhere. It looks like an ordinary slider device though the features could somehow pass on a mid-range level.

What makes it different is that the front camera is sensitive to infrared rays, which means that you can make a video call even without a light source or in complete darkness. The thing is, this will only produce gray scale video calls and not the usual colored ones. Well at least the user on the other line could somewhat see you anyway. And aside from that, this device also has a 3-megapixel main camera, Bluetooth, a large 2.8-inch AMOLED…

A lot of phones these days are catered for the younger generations, and the elderly are tend to be forgotten. Well not anymore as Samsung will soon launch a phone that targets the older folks, which will be named as the Samsung C3060R.

This means that this is just a really basic device with enough features to call it a decent phone. This includes a 2.2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels, SOS key, a user interface with large in-screen text for easy reading, and a large rubber-made illuminated keypad for easy typing. The Samsung OS is also tweaked with simpler menus to meet the needs of older people. There’s…

We’ve already seen leaked images of the Motorola W7 a few weeks back, and now it is already official with some clear and actually interesting design, which is a lot different from the leaked ones. This will also be officially called as the Active Edition, which is apt since it is a sports-oriented device.

This will have a Personal Trainer application with built-in step pedometer, and also an accelerometer. With that, this handset will rely on gesture controls like for instance, flipping this handset over would silence incoming calls, snooze the alarm clock and even pause the music. Another is, shaking it twice would automatically bring up your favorite application like a…

The controversial Samsung Alias 2 and the simple Samsung Magnet are now available at Verizon Wireless and AT&T, respectively. These two phones indeed differ a lot from its form factor to its features.

The Samsung Alias 2, as we all know by now, features the magical E-ink technology. With it, the keyboard will automatically change depending on how you will use and open the phone. Flipping it vertically would show an alphanumeric keypad, while opening it on landscape mode would show a full QWERTY keyboard. This also has the RemoSync service which allows users to sync corporate e-mails, contacts and calendar from an office PC.

As said, the Samsung Magnet is just a…

It seems like LG and Verizon Wireless are planning to release not just one but two new enV device probably sometime this year. One is the enV3 that we have already seen back in April, and the other is the enV Touch, which we’re seeing right now.

This still holds the same landscaped flipped form factor although the difference is that it will have larger screens. The exterior screen will be a touch screen display and both the exterior and interior screens will hold 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It will have no keypad on the outside, but flipping the phone to open would show a full QWERTY keyboard. This device…

Sprint is set to launch the Samsung Exclaim M550, which comes as the successor of the Samsung Rant. With that said, you know this is also going to be a messaging-oriented device with both the traditional alphanumeric keypad and the QWERTY keyboard available.

What makes it different from the Samsung Rant is that the Samsung Exclaim will be a dual-slider device. Sliding the phone vertically would show the alphanumeric keypad, while sliding it horizontally would reveal the landscaped QWERY keyboard. And although it is focused as a messaging device, its other features are not bad at all. This includes a 2.6-inch QVGA display, EV-DO Rev. 0 connectivity, GPS Navigation, 2-megapixel camera…

NTT DoCoMo, the largest Japanese carrier, announced last year that they will be releasing an Android device this 2009. Well it looks like it is bound to happen as DoCoMo is said to release the HTC Magic as the HT-03A real soon.

This touch-screened device will be the first smartphone in Japan to run on Google’s Android 1.5 Cupcake platform. It will also be optimized for the Japanese market and it is also expected that DoCoMo will include some of their offerings, software and other services in this device to somewhat suit the needs of their customers.

We do not know why DoCoMo chose the HTC Magic over the HTC Dream, which is…

The Motorola QA1 Karma first leaked around the web sometime back in February with only screenshots of its User Interface available. Now, we’re seeing another leakage from BGR, showing AT&T’s rebate sheet with the Motorola QA1 on it.

But despite that, little is still known about this device, which includes 3G connectivity and probably 240 x 320 pixels of landscape display. It comes as a slider phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, so probably this will cater to those who are on a budget for a messaging device. There are also rumors that the screen will be touch-capable, but it would probably look kind of unusual since the screen looks really small.

Well…

T-Mobile is set to release a revised version of the HTC Dream or the T-Mobile G1, which will be called the T-Mobile G1 V2 or the Bigfoot. There’s no official announcement about this handset as of now nor are there leaked features of it and as to how it differs from the original version.

But if the picture is real, it is obvious that the “chin” from the original G1 is gone. This is actually a lot better although it looks like another of those traditional slide-out QWERTY keyboards we have today. Aside from that, nothing else has been leaked about this device, but perhaps it will also have 5-megapixel camera. The…

Coming as one of the most successful phones of late 2008 from the Finnish company, it wouldn’t be surprising if the 5800 XpressMusic gets a successor. Now, we’re seeing a Nokia 5900 XpressMusic that has just shown up at PConline.com.cn, although there are no proofs if this is real or just another of those Chinese fake phones.

But anyway it is not close to being real, considering the fact that the 5800 continues to becoming a hit. And if it is true, the Nokia 5900 XpressMusic will hold updated features including a slightly larger touch screen display at about 3.5 inches and an upgraded megapixel at 5-megapixel count. This will probably be…

Rumors about a Sony Ericsson PSP Phone have been around for years already, and now, it gets even more possible as Sony Ericsson’s President and COO, Dick Komiyama, said that such a phone “could happen” to be able to reposition the company as one of the world’s top three mobile phone manufacturers.

Of course, we know that a lot of Playstation Portable fans out there take this news seriously, coming straight from the company’s President. But, as he is quoted saying “a PlayStation mobile, building on the Walkman and Cybershot phones, could happen”, you know there’s still no guarantee that it will indeed happen. Well at least there’d be high hopes for…

Motorola A455 and Samsung Alias 2 U750 have appeared in live photos as shown by PhoneArena. Now, we can clearly see how these phones really look like. Well, probably not so clear since if not blurry, the photo is dark.

But anyway, we’ve first heard of the Motorola Rival A455 back in March, when it was called the Rush 2. Indeed, as what we said before, this touch screened phone looks very cartoonish and very child-like in its multicolor shading, which you could clearly see on the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This will definitely cater to the younger generations and to those who want a fun-looking messaging device.

The intriguing Samsung Alias 2…
