Dutch Site Mobile Cowboys has received leaked image of what is believed to be Nokia’s rugged device, dubbed as the Nokia 3720. It is very seldom that Nokia comes up with rugged phones, and if this is true, then this should really be surprising.

This is also said to be Nokia’s first handset to meet the IP54 certification standard for dust, water and shock resistance. And since there are no rugged phones that are on a high-end (except for the iDEN phone that Motorola introduced a few years back), expect this to have the basic features of a phone. This is actually said to run on Symbian S40, so there’s really nothing much in this device.

But anyway, for those who constantly drop their cell phones and are looking for a device that could withstand such, this phone would be a great choice. Well that is if this phone is really true as it is even said to launch in September under T-Mobile in European markets.
