Another rugged phone has been unveiled by non-other than Motorola. This device, called the Motorola Quantico, has no ground breaking features and only has the same specs as with other ruggedized devices.
Its design looks interesting and very manly in clamshell form factor. The camera, which comes with 1.3-megapixel, comes on the exterior part, which means you still need to close this device before you can even take a shot. This will also have GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, 2.5mm headset jack, speakerphone, and a microSD card slot for expansion.
Of course, since this is a rugged device, this is mil-spec 810F compliance for resistance to up to 30-minute water dunk in up to three feet of water, extreme pressure, temperatures, dust, shock, vibration, and blowing rain.
We’re not sure where will this Motorola Quantico be offered, though Motorola is expecting it to come around in the fourth quarter of this year.
