Motorola Ivory E18

The Motorola Aura is not the only luxury phone from Motorola. They have actually planned on releasing the Motorola Ivory E18, which I don’t think looks luxurious. It looks a lot like my television remote control and it kind of looks like a phone way back when smaller cellular phones were invented.

But anyway, what is so luxurious about it is that it is made from stainless steel chassis, and it is said that there were also plans of coming up with gold and platinum version (don’t be surprised if Motorola would have its own “Vertu” subsidiary).

This is actually a dual-slider with two-level sliding design. On a short slide to the first level, it will show navigation button and function keys, while on the longer side to the second level, it will show the alphanumeric keys. This also has 3-megapixel camera and a small footprint.

For this stainless steel chasis Motorola Ivory E18, the price would’ve been around €2,000 or about $2,821. But though the development of this device is already completed, this phone has actually been cancelled since no operators were seemed interested about it (which is actually not surprising).
