On July 20, 1969, two cosmonauts named Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first man to land on the moon. With the 40th Anniversary of that remarkable moment, Motorola has decided to come up with a new version of the Motorola Aura, dubbed as the Celestial Edition.
Motorola actually manufactured the original transponder aboard the Apollo 11, which transmitted the first words and visuals from the moon back to the earth. That explains why the event is very important for Motorola.
The new phone edition is still the same Motorola Aura only that it comes with extras, including original pictures, audio and video content from NASA. This will also come with laser-made inscription and nine post stamps in honour of the said mission to the moon.
While it is said that the first unit will go to Neil Armstrong, the rest who wants to have this device will still have to wait for the announcement of the exact release date as it is said to be available this July. Pricing is also unknown but this will surely be more expensive than the original as it comes as a commemorative edition.
