It was in September when we first heard about the LG GW620; and back in November was when Rogers Wireless announced it for Canada. Now, the company’s first Android device is set to be launched in UK, this time under the name LG InTouch Max GW620.
There’s really nothing new in the design of this LG GW620 since we’ve already seen smartphones with such slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen display. This will indeed have 3-inch HVGA display; and other features will include 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, HSDPA connectivity, and a microSD card support. This will also have a certain Social Networking Manager application, which is called the Linkbook, giving users direct access to their friends’ profiles.
This LG InTouch Max GW620 is expected to become available this month in UK under T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile. It is also said to be free with a 24-month contract with T-Mobile of at least £20 per month, or with £22 a month for 18 months contract with Virgin.
