It is not surprising to see HTC repackaging one phone for different carriers; but what is surprising is the latest news about the CDMA version of the HTC Hero, which was just recently approved by the FCC as the HTC200.

The HTC Hero, as we all know, has this interesting feature at the bottom, which is popularly known as the smartphone’s chin. It definitely makes the Hero unique among other HTC devices or rather, among other handsets. Well, what we have here is a live image of what is believed to be the CDMA version of the HTC Hero, and surprisingly, it cuts of the famous chin, making it resemble to the HTC Magic instead.

Engadget got this at 8080.net, and there could be possibility that this might just be another Chinese fake. Anyway, features should include 528MHz Qualcomm CPU with 512MB ROM and 288MB RAM, and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus.

Rumors also say that the HTC CDMA Hero will be releasing by Sprint in US, but still, no confirmation has been made yet.
