This NEC N-06A has two purposes. Well, we’ve already been seeing a lot of two-in-one phones these days such as a camera and a phone in one, a walkman and a phone, and even a TV and a phone. But what actually makes this NEC N-06A different is that it doubles as a Wireless Access Point.

This is possible when the AP Mode of Atheros Communications is enabled. This handset is said to pack “a cutting-edge Atheros AR6002 module, which enables handsets to operate in infrastructure mode, the primary wireless connectivity framework employed in access points, routers, laptops and other WLAN devices.”
