Not long after Verizon Wireless announced the Android 2.1-running LG Ally, the LG Fathom, which is a Windows Mobile 6.5.3 smartphone has been announced. There’s really nothing so innovative about this new device, and those who are expecting for a Windows Phone 7 update with this would surely be dejected.

This is because this LG Fathom will only have a 3.2-inch WVGA resistive touchscreen display, whereas the WP7 requires capacitive. Obviously, this will also have slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and this is also said to be powered by 1GHz processor. Other features include 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, MP3 player, Wi-Fi, EV-DO and HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, and a microSD card slot for…

Remember the LG Vu that was released back in 2008? Well it looks like it’s bound to have a successor as AT&T has unveiled the LG Vu Plus. This new LG feature phone seems almost the same as its predecessor, but what makes this obviously different is that it will have a slide out four-row QWERTY keyboard.

The LG Vu Plus is also said to have enhanced UI, and since this will be available via AT&T, this will then have support for AT&T’s FLO-based Mobile TV service, which “carries over for $9.99 a month with a free 7-day trial subscription.” Other AT&T offerings such as AT&T Navigator and AT&T Social Net…

After a certain French Microsoft employee revealed a photo and some features of LG’s Windows Phone 7, it has again been showcased by Microsoft, demonstrating its latest build. Pocket-Lint was there to witness the event, and they said that the LG Windows Phone 7 or the LG Panther works very smoothly.

Indeed, WP7 is working smoothly on the LG Panther device, but they also said that the touchscreen should’ve been more responsive. They also seem to have tested it on the Facebook application, as it was described as “intuitive and seamless”; and Zune is also said to provide access to music and videos “quickly and clearly.”

With all the rumors regarding the…

It was in the first quarter of this year when rumors about LG’s Windows Phone 7 has sprouted over the web, and now, it has appeared once again in a photo that’s posted on Flickr by a said French Microsoft employee.

As we know, Microsoft has set three chassis setups in order for manufacturers to have a Windows Phone 7. This should then force phone manufacturers to adhere to this standard, and as seen on this LG phone, it indeed looks like it follows the said chassis. The LG Windows Phone 7 will have a large and crisp capacitive touchscreen display and sliding QWERTY keyboard; and other specs and features are…

Officially announced in South Korea a few weeks ago, the LG LU2300 now gets a moniker and it will be commercialized as the LG Optimus Q. Not that it has to do with Optimus Prime of Transformers, but this device is sure to appeal a lot just like how the movie did on its launch date.

Sadly though, unlike the Transformers movie, this LG Optimus Q LU2300 will not be made available in other parts of the world except in South Korea. Well actually, we’ve already heard of this Optimus before and it’s on the LG GT540, which has been official just a few weeks back. That said, perhaps there will…

The LG Ally continues to become a hot topic as we’ve just recently seen it last week and now, here it is again; and finally, it is said to hit the markets on May 20. Well, BGR has actually obtained this information, and along with that, they’ve as well managed to reveal more details about this device.

Just as what we’ve previously reported, BGR confirms that the LG Ally will be running on Google’s Android 2.1 OS. Aside from that though, it seems like what we have then aren’t going to be included in this device. We said that the LG Ally will be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, but…

Remember the LG GW990 that has been presented at the CES 2010 event in January? During that event, a lot were surprised when it is reported to become the manufacturer’s first device to run Intel’s Moorestown platform.

The LG GW990 definitely has a lot of interesting features to offer. It is said to have a widescreen 4.8-inch touchscreen display with 1028 x 480 pixels, 5-megapixel camera with HD quality video recording, multi-window UI, 3D gaming, HSPA, Wi-Fi, AGPS, and more. Now if all these entice you already, sadly, this device won’t be available in any markets.

Well indeed, LG has told Phone Arena that the LG GW990 was just a concept phone…

If designer clothing, including bags and shoes, has most of its ad campaign done by celebrities, mobile phones too can as well be modeled by stars. Take for example what LG has in mind. They teamed up with fashionably sophisticated women Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria Parker to promote two of its stylish touchscreen mobile phones.

These phones are actually the LG Lotus Elite and the LG Rumor Touch, which have both been announced since January of this year. The ad campaign is actually called the LG Fashion Touch, and it is said to promote “personal style and the idea that mobile phones have become the latest in fashion communication.”

The LG LU2300 Aloha that showed up in an official UK blog a few weeks back is now said to come not in such a name but in LG Ally moniker. We’re really confused about this latest news because based on the photos available, the LG Aloha looks a lot different than the Ally, and may I say that the Aloha looks a lot better.

Still, the LG Ally is believed to be running Android 2.1 OS and will be powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Same features including 5-megapixel camera, sliding QWERTY keyboard, and 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display are as well available.

According to Android Central, the LG Ally will be available…

LG has launched two new interesting Android phones that are both powered by Snapdragon processors. One of which is the LU2300, which we’ve already seen in leaked photos a few weeks back, and the other is the LG SU950/KU950.

Both of these smartphones don’t really have much difference it’s just that the LG LU2300 will have a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a built-in trackpad, while the LG SU950/KU950 will remain as just a mere candybar touchscreen phone. This gives mobile consumers options on whether to have that keyboard or not since both of these actually have the same features.

As said, these two smartphones will be running on open source Android…

What is believed to be as the LG Swift GT540 will actually come out as the LG Optimus GT540 as the company recently announced it. We’ve first seen this device in January at the CES 2010, and now LG has officially announced it in UK as the Optimus.

As said, this is going to be another addition to LG’s portfolio of Android devices. This will run on Android 1.6 in particular, and it will also have 3-inch HVGA touchscreen display with customized UI, 3-megapiexl camera with geo-tagging, Wi-Fi, AGPS, Bluetooth, quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS connectivity, Wi-Fi, Social Networking Client, 3.5mm headset jack, DivX and XviD support, and 2GB or 4GB…

What we’ve reported as the LG Surf 4GB a few weeks back isn’t actually what we believed it would be called; rather, LG has officially announced that this device will be named as the LG Cookie Gig. But then again, it is said that this is aimed at the European market, and it will more likely happen that this same device will go under different names for each country, just like what we’ve already seen before from the manufacturer.

But though the name is different, the features that we’ve heard before are indeed what this LG Cookie Gig will have. This includes 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset jack,…
