It was back in July when we spotted a certain HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian, which is reported to come out this November. Now, it has been given a new name, which is the HP iPAQ Glisten, and it will be coming to AT&T “in the coming weeks.”

This smartphone is catered to the business users as it can access Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and with PowerPoint and PDF support. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS for “a redesigned Start Menu, improved Internet Explorer Mobile browser with Flash support and “My Phone”, a service that synchronizes contacts, text messages, photos and data on the Internet” for easier editing and transferring…

HP is said to be gearing up a new device, dubbed as the HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian. This is going to be a smart-phone as it runs on Windows Mobile 6.5, and it is actually a nice addition to the rather basic and simple QWERTY-keyboard handset.

It is believed to have 2.43-inch of Touch AMOLED display though the resolution is only QVGA with 320 x 240 pixels. This will include a Stylus and a scroll wheel for shuffling. There will also be 3.2-megapixel camera with no flash, 3.5mm headset jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 7200a 528MHz Qualcomm processor with 256MB RAM, plus a microSD card slot.

After quite a long time that HP has not shown up new devices, they are now back with a vengeance as they are about to release the HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian. This device will be powered with the latest Windows Mobile 6.5 OS, and that alone already makes this handset a hit.

There’s nothing revealed much about this device and will actually have quite basic features including GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, QVGA display, 3.5mm audio jack, 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM, and a microSD card slot. There will also be 2-megapixel camera, and it is said that a second version might come out for business individuals, stripping off the camera.
