Alcatel isn’t really a mobile phone manufacturer many of you would go to in case you need a new phone. While the manufacturer isn’t really part of the top three major go-to phone brands of many, still, Alcatel manages to actually go along with the trend.

Their latest mobile offering is the Alcatel One Touch Xtra, which is presented as a social-networking device, something a lot would look for in a phone, especially the younger groups. It obviously lets you access social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter; and it also has a touchscreen display of 2.4-inch and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which are definitely the on-trend style you see these…

Alcatel seems to continue on releasing entry-level devices. While they already have their first Android-powered OT-980, features of the smartphone are totally not groundbreaking. And to add to their simple basic devices, here’s the Alcatel OT-808.

This may only have very basic features, but with a design like it, you know this would appeal a lot, especially for the fashionistas around. This is indeed believed to have that “netbook look and feel” but the features are definitely far from that. When closed, this Alcatel OT-808 looks like diamond jewelry with 1.1-inch external monochrome 128 x 36 OLED display and with 2-megapixel camera on one corner.

Opening this clamshell would then reveal 2.4-inch…

Alcatel may not be part of the major phone manufacturers and you may probably not include it on your list of go-to phone maker, but it seems like they want to prove that they can as well keep in track and go with the latest there is on mobile phones these days.

Android devices are at its hype and Alcatel is indeed preparing for the release of their first ever Google-powered smartphone, which they call the Alcatel OT-980. If not for the Alcatel labeling on this device, you’ll probably say that this is the Palm Pre since its design looks just the same.

But anyway, this Alcatel OT-980 isn’t at all fantastic…

Alcatel is about to release a new device, manufactured by TCT Mobile Limited, which will be called the Alcatel Crystal A. This has actually been spotted over at the FCC, and we’re not sure on when this will be released. This is perhaps a luxury phone that has nothing much to boast regarding features as it is probably more focused on the design.

But still, looking at the images available, it seems that this clamshell phone is still not that appealing except for the crystals that adorn its exterior. What we’re not sure about though is if the crystals are real or not. Other than that, flipping this device would show…

If you’re a fan of Miss Sixty’s collection, perhaps you might also want to have this Miss Sixty phone brought to you by Alcatel. It has just been approved by the FCC, so there’s no wonder it would work as fine as other entry-level devices.

The design obviously has to do with Miss Sixty as it comes in a red glossy case with golden Miss Sixty logo on the exterior. The Miss Sixty branding actually doesn’t stop from there since opening this clamshell phone would also show Miss Sixty gold-tone logo around the navigation and surrounding the internal screen display. The engraved keypad also comes in gold, and at the back,…

Alcatel may not be the leader in producing high-end innovative cellular phones, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t create such. In fact, it is very surprising that they managed to come up with a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional-powered device, which they call the OT-S988W.

This device has 528MHz Qualcomm CPU with 256MB ROM and 256MB RAM. It also has the latest there is on most smartphones these days, including a large 3.2-inch touch-screen display with 240 x 400 pixels, a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Bluetooth 2.1. All these are packed in a sleek 110 x 55 x 15.1mm handset dimension and with a weight of…

For those of you who still can’t get used to smartphones and would rather opt for a mobile phone that holds enough features for it to be called a phone, this Alcatel OT-363 may perhaps be included to one of your choices.

Though the design looks appealing in some way, the features are actually not that interesting. This phone also looks like that of an eye glasses case which you flip on the side to open only that, this phone flips just like the usual clamshell style. It has what looks to be of LED lights on the exterior, though it really doesn’t show anything except for the Alcatel branding.

This will have…

Alcatel has launched two of their latest entry-level devices called the OT-707 and the OT-800. But despite the fact of being entry-level handsets, these two phones are interesting and will surely sell to those in a budget for a touch screen or for a QWERTY keyboard mobile phone.

The Alcatel OT-707 is actually the company’s first touch screen device measuring about 95 x 53 x 13mm in rounded case. It supports dual-band GSM/GPRS connectivity and will have 2.3-inch TFT display of 240 x 320 pixels and 262k colors, 1.3-megapixel camera, music player, FM Radio, Bluetooth with A2DP, and 10MB of internal memory that is expandable to2GB via microSD card slot.

However, the OT-800…

Rumors have been around the internet about Alcatel’s partnership with Lego. Alcatel may not be one of the largest manufacturers of handsets with high-selling phones in the industry, but that doesn’t mean they cannot create devices that will perhaps be the most talked about, or probably weird?

But anyway, what more could you expect than a Lego phone? Looking at the picture would show a candy bar style of phone that will have removable Lego pieces on its keypad, letting users customize their handsets for as long as they want. Just don’t bother assembling the pieces together as it won’t really do such. It also has a small screen display, making…
