Acer is rumored to introduce their very first Android phone with the alleged name A1, and is said to start launching by September. Word came up from an article of Philippine’s Business Mirror, and it is also said that this will be released along with three other phones.

This handset is expected to come in the popular touch screened form factor, though other features and specs are still unknown. If this is true, then Acer will then be joining HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola in embracing Google’s Android operating system. Still, everything remains a rumor and even the source is unidentifiable as of the moment. Google and Acer both declined to comment about this issue.

Pictures available are actually a Windows Mobile device and the other is one of the speculated handsets to come along the A1, which also has the rumored name, C1.
