With that, Motorola is now planning on releasing the Motorola MT710 in China, which will indeed be powered by China Mobile’s Android-based Open Mobile System, called the OPhone. A lot have compared it to the much talked about Motorola Droid in terms of design, though this MT710 doesn’t have any sliding QWERTY keyboard.

This then has 3.7-inch full touch-screen display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, 3G support using China Mobile’s new TD-SCDMA network,…

There’s no doubt that this Motorola i680 is an iDEN device considering that it has the letter “i” on its model number. Its design also looks as such, if not rugged, and that should already tell you that this doesn’t have any ground-breaking features.

It is actually the newest iDEN device that has been approved by the FCC. Nothing much has been revealed about this yet, but you bet it would surely have the same features as other iDEN devices. It definitely has the push-to-talk capability; and based on the photo, this clamshell iDEN also has a camera, though the megapixel count is unknown.

It has interior and exterior screens, and on…

LG has always practiced naming their interesting devices after foods; take for example the LG Wine and the LG Lollipop. The latest of which, called the LG Popcorn GU280, seems to have no connection at all in terms of its design.

This slider device looks sweet in pink and white color combination, so perhaps it would be more apt if it was named after a sweet pastry or candy. So anyway, looking at it already tells that this will be catered to women and to teens.

And though it looks interesting enough, this Popcorn is just an entry-level device. Its features include support for quad-band GSM with 3G, 2-inch display with 176…

Let’s take a quick break first from all those high-end touch-screened devices we see from time to time as Nokia is about to release three new low-to-mid ender CDMA devices in China: the Nokia 6316s, Nokia 3806, and Nokia 1506.

The Nokia 6316s is a stylish slider phone that is presented as a “multimedia device”. It is designed from a stainless-steel body with a small bar of dedicated music keys that run across the middle of this device. It has 2.2-inch QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, Web Browser, e-mail, and China Telecom’s QQ application.

Another rugged phone has been unveiled by non-other than Motorola. This device, called the Motorola Quantico, has no ground breaking features and only has the same specs as with other ruggedized devices.

Its design looks interesting and very manly in clamshell form factor. The camera, which comes with 1.3-megapixel, comes on the exterior part, which means you still need to close this device before you can even take a shot. This will also have GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, 2.5mm headset jack, speakerphone, and a microSD card slot for expansion.

Of course, since this is a rugged device, this is mil-spec 810F compliance for resistance to up to 30-minute water dunk in up to…

I don’t know why Samsung has this habit of releasing devices first in Korea or rather a device that will only cater to the country, but they should think that these devices are so much interesting that it will surely get more attention and sales if it is released outside their country.

This Samsung SCH-W920 is indeed another Korea-first device. And that said, it is not surprising if this also comes as another of their DMB phones, which has the S-DMB Mobile TV receiver function. This is actually a slider device, which also features 3-megapixel camera, front camera for video calls, Bluetooth, media player, SOS alarm function, and English dictionary with…

Sanyo’s latest device is heading to Sprint, and it goes by the model number SCP-3810. This handset looks interesting and modern on the outside, but on the inside is just a classic design and its features and specs remain just like that of a simple low-to-mid end clamshell device.

This flip phone has polished mirror finish on the outside and it has a translucent OLED display that glows to show the time or the number on the other line. Opening this clamshell would show large alphanumeric keys and some shortcut keys, which look very much classic.

Features and specs include 2.4-inch QVGA screen with large-font option for better readability, 1.3-megapixel camera with…

Samsung is gearing up for a yet another touch-screen device, as photos of the so-called Samsung GT-i6330 have been spotted in Russia. Although it appeared in Russia, it will more likely come as another device from China Mobile given that the carrier’s logo is branded on its case.

There’s nothing much revealed about this device since this remains unannounced. But based on the photos available, this seems to have 3.2-megapixel camera on the back and a video call camera on the front, which tells that this should also include 3G/TD-SCDMA connectivity. Its design seems to have just a little difference among other touch-screen devices today, and its silhouette is definitely one…
